An engagement ring is a small piece of jewelry than can have the single most meaning of any piece of jewelry ever received or given. When a couple makes the decision to marry and blend their lives, it changes everything for both people forever. What could be more romantic than climbing a mountain and overlooking a beautiful view of the world and having a ring slipped on your finger with the offer of spending a lifetime sharing more views together.

However, many men prefer to step outside their comfort zone and create a special evening to propose. A romantic trip with dinner, flowers and deluxe accommodations can sometimes be just the right thing to do to propose as well. If a couple have a hectic lifestyle, an evening out to ask the big question might be just what the relationship needs. The proposal can be formal and the engagement ring can be slipped on over nice wine and great food. For fun, the man could slip the ring into a glass of wine, have it attached to a napkin or even have the waiter offer it on the dessert tray. The point is for the event to be memorable.

Sometimes men come up with funny ways to propose such as streaming banners behind planes, announcements at ball games or even a billboard. There is usually no end to the creative measures some men will go to for their love to be impressed! The important thing is for the engagement to begin a new phase of life by blending two lives into one and this can be done in many ways.

An engagement will be a memory that lasts forever for both the man and woman so taking the time and effort to make it unique and special will give both a lifetime of pleasure to reminisce about.
